About the work
Today, people receive vast amounts of information through many kinds of media. People produce this information and, in turn, are constantly affected by it. Interactions between pieces of information, and between information and its producers, cross and interweave into a complex network. “Mutuality” means reciprocity, or the relation of one to another. Through lines woven into a net, the work seeks to give emotion a conceptual form and to reconstruct the relationships of opposition and unity that emerge from networks. It presents traces of images and visible textures to explore the contradictory relationship between opposition and unity. This is both an expression of personal feeling and a deeper psychological condition of our time.
